Welcome to our Solar PV for Schools Platform, a Suntricity Initiative, with which we aim to stimulate high interest from schools to invest in a long-term Solar PV energy saving strategy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the information you submit when you interact with the platform.

2. Information We Collect

The data we collect is the data you give us permission to access:

• Municipal Invoices: Electricity account number and pin code. To enable the platform to calculate the school's Solar PV and battery requirements, historical invoiced consumption is needed and you agree to share municipal billing data, which allows the platform and platform sponsors to assess the school's investment needs.
• Contact Information: Your email address when you register an account.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service, such as monthly consumption and cost.
• Generated Content: Content data used to create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Payment Information: As the services are free for schools, no payment details of any kind are requested. Partners and sponsors support all costs associated with the platform in the form of fees and success commissions.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create KPIs that will serve you and all schools associated with the Suntricity platform.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraudulent or prohibited use of the service.
• Analyse usage patterns to improve service performance and user experience.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Generated content is stored in your school profile account. You have the right to delete your content or your entire account. Uploaded files and generated content are retained for service delivery purposes and are archived according to the data retention schedule.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your school's personal information. We may share aggregated information in the following circumstances:

• Third-Party Service Providers: Such as to the Department of Education or for reference purposes only.
• Partners and Sponsors: School electricity consumption and cost data, and invoices associated with the account, may be reshared with partners and sponsors for analysis purposes.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our platform and our users.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding the personal information you provide for your school, including the right to:

• Access personal information you provide.
• Request corrections to inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt out of certain data processing activities.

7. Security

Our service is intended for administrators and SGB members of the school who are authorised by the individual school. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
